Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F to 375°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the barbecue sauce, honey, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This helps to achieve a nice, crispy skin.
  4. Coat the chicken thighs thoroughly with the barbecue sauce mixture. Reserve some sauce for brushing later while grilling.
  5. Place the coated chicken thighs on the grill, skin side down. Close the lid and grill for about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Flip the chicken thighs and brush with more barbecue sauce. Grill for another 6-8 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Watch that you don't scorch the sauce due to the honey.
  8. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes, then serve.
