Cheeseburger
×
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80% lean)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns, sliced in half
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup pickle slices
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Form the beef mixture into four equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
- Place the patties on the preheated grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, or until browned.
- Flip the patties, and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Continue grilling for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness (internal temperature of 160°F for medium).
- While the burgers are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill until golden.
- Assemble the cheeseburgers by placing the patties on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Add lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and onion as desired.
- Spread condiments like ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise on the top half of the buns. Place the tops on the assembled burgers.
- Serve the cheeseburgers immediately with a side of fries or your choice of side.
