Cheesesteak

Ingredients
- Olive oil for cooking, 2 tablespoons
- Onion, 1 each
- Bell pepper, 1 each
- Thinly sliced ribeye steak, 1 pound
- Salt, 1 each
- Black pepper, 1 each
- Provolone cheese, 4 slices
- Hoagie rolls, 2 each
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the skillet and let it heat up.
- Add 1 each of onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add 1 pound of thinly sliced ribeye steak to the other side. Cook the steak for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
- Combine the steak and vegetables in the skillet, mixing them together.
- Season the mixture with 1 each of salt and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Once the steak is cooked and seasoned, reduce the heat to low.
- Place 4 slices of provolone cheese over the steak and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it sit for 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
- While the cheese is melting, slice 2 each of hoagie rolls in half.
- To assemble the cheesesteak, place a generous portion of the steak and cheese mixture inside each hoagie roll.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious cheesesteak!
