×
Ingredients
- unsalted butter, softened to room temperature (1 cup)
- granulated sugar (3/4 cup)
- packed light brown sugar (3/4 cup)
- large eggs (2 each)
- pure vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- all-purpose flour (2 1/4 cups)
- baking soda (1 teaspoon)
- salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- semi-sweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft.
- Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
