Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Ingredients
- 4 oz Chicken Breasts
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 3 cloves minced Garlic
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- to taste Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Begin by gathering all of your ingredients. Make sure to have chicken breasts, garlic, heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and olive oil ready.
- Step 2: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the skillet and allow it to heat for about 1 minute.
- Step 3: While the oil is heating, season both sides of each chicken breast with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning for flavor.
- Step 4: Once the oil is hot, carefully add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet. Sear the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Step 5: After the chicken is cooked, remove them from the skillet and set aside on a plate to keep warm.
- Step 6: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add 3 cloves of minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Step 7: Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the skillet to combine all the flavors. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Step 8: Slowly add in 1 cup of heavy cream while stirring continuously until the mixture is well combined and begins to thicken.
- Step 9: Stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, continuing to mix until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Step 10: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them with the creamy sauce. Allow them to simmer in the sauce for about 2-3 minutes.
- Step 11: Serve the creamy garlic Parmesan chicken hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and chopped parsley if desired.
