Dubai Chocolate Bar
×
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
- 1 cup of mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews)
- 1/2 cup of chopped dried dates
- 1 tablespoon of orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
Instructions
- 1. Begin by preparing an 8-inch square baking pan by lining it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
- 2. In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and coconut oil. Melt them together over a double boiler, stirring until smooth. Alternatively, you can melt them in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
- 3. Once melted, remove the chocolate mixture from heat and stir in the orange zest, ground cinnamon, and sea salt until well combined.
- 4. Gently fold in the mixed nuts and chopped dried dates into the chocolate mixture until evenly coated.
- 5. Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- 6. Refrigerate the chocolate bar for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
- 7. Once set, lift the chocolate bar out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares or bars of your desired size.
- 8. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
