Easy Lemon-Pepper Chicken Wings
×
Ingredients
- 2 cups oil, or as needed
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon-pepper seasoning
- 12 chicken wings
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients: 2 cups of oil, 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon of lemon-pepper seasoning, and 12 chicken wings.
- In a deep-fryer or a large saucepan, heat the oil to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- While the oil is heating, combine the 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil and 1 tablespoon of lemon-pepper seasoning in a bowl. Stir well to mix and set aside.
- Once the oil has reached the desired temperature, carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil.
- Fry the wings for about 8 minutes, or until they are golden brown and no longer pink at the bone. You can check for doneness by inserting an instant-read thermometer into the thickest part of the wing; it should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
- Using a slotted spoon or tongs, carefully remove the wings from the hot oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- While the wings are still hot, transfer them to the bowl with the lemon-pepper mixture.
- Toss the wings in the mixture until they are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Serve the wings immediately and enjoy your homemade lemon-pepper chicken wings!
