Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 6 cloves of minced garlic
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- lemon wedges for garnish
- additional chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat.
- Add 6 cloves of minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined, to the skillet. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Season the shrimp with 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the juice of 1 lemon and 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley for freshness.
- Serve immediately over cooked rice or pasta, and garnish with additional lemon wedges and parsley if desired.
