  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, and apple cider vinegar until fully combined.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken thighs to the skillet and sear them for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken in the skillet. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve the chicken over steamed rice and drizzle with additional sauce if desired. Garnish with sliced green onions.
