Ingredients

  • 100 grams smoked salmon
  • Cooked and seasoned sushi rice
  • ½ avocado, sliced
  • 2 mini cucumbers, cut into thin strips
  • 3 nori sheets
  • 2-3 tablespoons cream cheese
  • Black sesame seeds, for sprinkling
  • Oil for greasing the baking dish

Instructions

  1. Lightly brush a small baking dish with peanut or vegetable oil.
  2. Layer the smoked salmon evenly on the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Spread a layer of cooked and seasoned sushi rice over the smoked salmon.
  4. Place a nori sheet on top of the rice.
  5. Spread 2-3 tablespoons of cream cheese over the nori sheet.
  6. Arrange the thin cucumber strips and avocado slices over the cream cheese.
  7. Place another nori sheet on top of the vegetables and press down firmly.
  8. Add another layer of sushi rice over the second nori sheet.
  9. Finish with the final nori sheet and press down well.
  10. Flip the baking dish onto a cutting board.
  11. Sprinkle the top with black sesame seeds and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  12. Serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi if desired.
