Pan-Seared Spicy Tilapia with Lemon Butter

×

Ingredients
- 2 Tilapia fillets
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the fillets.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the seasoned tilapia fillets.
- Cook the fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The fish should flake easily with a fork.
- Remove the tilapia from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter. Allow it to melt, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Once the butter is melted and bubbly, stir in the fresh lemon juice and half of the chopped parsley. Cook for an additional minute.
- Pour the lemon butter sauce over the tilapia fillets and garnish with the remaining parsley before serving.
