Ingredients

  • 2 Tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the fillets.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the seasoned tilapia fillets.
  4. Cook the fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The fish should flake easily with a fork.
  5. Remove the tilapia from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  6. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter. Allow it to melt, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
  7. Once the butter is melted and bubbly, stir in the fresh lemon juice and half of the chopped parsley. Cook for an additional minute.
  8. Pour the lemon butter sauce over the tilapia fillets and garnish with the remaining parsley before serving.
