Get Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients

  • Elbow Macaroni 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with 4 cups of water. Add a pinch of salt to the water to enhance the flavor of the macaroni.
  2. Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  3. Once the water is boiling, add 1 cup of elbow macaroni to the pot.
  4. Stir the macaroni occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  5. Cook the macaroni for 8-10 minutes, or until it reaches the desired level of tenderness (al dente is generally preferred).
  6. Once cooked, remove the pot from heat and drain the macaroni into a colander. Rinse with cold water if you want to stop the cooking process immediately and prevent sticking.
  7. Serve immediately or let it cool down for use in various dishes.
