Savory Ham and Cheese Puffs

Ingredients
- 2 sheets of puff pastry, thawed
- 6 ounces of deli ham, diced
- 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into squares (approximately 4x4 inches).
- Place a spoonful of the ham and cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pouch, pinching the edges to seal securely.
- Place the filled puffs on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the puffs are golden brown and puffed up.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your savory ham and cheese puffs!
